TEACHING EXPERIENCE:
2019 to 2022 Visual Arts Teacher, Bethany Lutheran School, Long Beach, CA. Designed an art curriculum for grades K-8 to meet California standards. Creating lessons and projects at the developmental level of students that incorporate a variety of techniques and media. Introducing students to major artists and their works. Ensuring students are developing the ability to appreciate art and the vocabulary to speak about it. Develop and instruct after school and summer art sessions such as Drawing Basics and Composition with Collage. Create instructional videos for remote learning.

Teaching Associate for Introduction to Painting, Spring 2019, California State University Long Beach, Long Beach, CA. Created the syllabus, taught technical drawing and painting skills, fostered the development of perceptual skills, nurtured student’s artistic vision, gave demonstrations, provided short lectures on historical and contemporary paintings, conducted group and individual critiques, evaluated each student’s performance on a continual basis, set and maintained acceptable standards of classroom behavior to establish an orderly learning environment.

Assisted Professor Emeritus Marie Thibeault in the student's understanding of the visual nature of color and its' application through compositional studies. Aided in the preparation and instruction of lessons and critique of student work.
